Bagasse is sugar cane fiber waste left after juice extraction. Bagassse Sugarcane products are 100% biodegradable and compostable, suitable for hot and cold foods, and are microwave- and freezer-safe.

What is Compostable Packaging?

Compostable packaging is made from biodegradable, plant based materials and is capable of disintegrating into carbon dioxide, water and biomass under the right conditions. This would mean being exposed to microorganisms, humidity and high temperatures in a controlled environment. It has no negative impact on the toxicity of the soil.

Composting Bagasse

bagasse takeaway containers, plates and bowls will break down in a commercial composting facility in as little as 45 – 60 days. However, they will break down in a home compost bin or heap, but could take longer depending on the composting conditions.
